GratuityGuide is built to need no personal data. The calculators run in your browser, so the amounts you enter are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to a server.

We do not require an account and we do not ask for your name, email address, or location. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect any. You can use every tool without telling us who you are.

If we enable advertising in the future, the site may use cookies placed by a third-party vendor such as Google AdSense. These advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, help show relevant ads and measure how many times they are seen. They are controlled by the advertising network, not by GratuityGuide, and you can disable them in your browser settings at any time.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings, and learn more or exercise choices via the aboutads.info site run by the Digital Advertising Alliance. Disabling personalization does not stop ads from appearing; it only stops them from being based on your interests.

We may also use privacy-friendly analytics, such as Google Analytics, to understand which calculators people use and roughly where in the world they are. Analytics, when enabled, relies on standard cookies and aggregates data so that no individual visitor can be identified. We do not merge analytics data with advertising data, and we do not use analytics to build profiles of specific people.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of thirteen. Because the calculators store nothing on our servers, there is little for a child, or anyone, to submit beyond the numbers they type, which are discarded the moment the page is closed.

We take reasonable technical steps to keep the site available and safe, but we hold no personal data about you, so there is no account database to breach. The main privacy risk on a calculator site is the advertising and analytics cookies described above, which you control through your own browser and the opt-out links provided.
